BODY-LED HEALING WITH Charlotte

I help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected to feel safe and empowered in their bodies AND FIND THEIR WAY BACK TO THEMSELVES.

I know what it takes to recover from chronic stress and trauma, because I’ve done that work myself. I offer body-based tools and compassionate guidance to help you learn to regulate your nervous system and sustain greater physiological, mental and emotional stability. This supports a more effective stress management, adaptability to an ever-changing world, reconnection with curiosity and joy and more fulfilling relationships - being able to be more present with those we love.

WHO I WORK WITH

  • Woman working on a laptop at a wooden table, with newspapers and a smartphone, in a room with a plain white wall.

    busy Professionals

For business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals in high-pressure roles, the demands can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, constantly ‘on’ and unable to truly switch off. I help you slow down, regulate your nervous system and reconnect with clarity and resilience — so you can lead from a more grounded and authentic place.

    Veterans & Military Community

I work with current and former members of the armed forces, as well as their families, who are living with the effects of trauma, chronic stress or loss of connection to themselves and others. Together we create a calm, non-judgemental space to help you feel safe in your body again and develop tools you can carry forward into daily life — at your pace and on your terms.

People Navigating Trauma & Mental Health Challenges

If you’ve tried therapy, medication, retreats or routines but still feel anxious, depressed, or unable to truly enjoy life, you’re not alone. I work with people who feel like nothing has ‘worked’ yet — helping you build trust in yourself, find calm and create a more grounded sense of who you are, without needing to perform, push or fit into anyone else’s idea of healing.

How I Support & THE toolS I USE

Alongside navigating my own challenges, I’ve trained extensively in body-based, trauma-sensitive approaches that I weave together in order to help people feel safe in their own skin — without needing to relive the past.

What I offer combines clinical best practice, ancient wisdom and deep respect for you and your experience — without dogma or judgment. These are the tools that have worked for me.

  • An ancient school of practical psychology emphasising embodied awareness, breath focus, mindfulness and meditation.

  • Designed to help people feel safe in their bodies again, and in fact to re-learn what it is to ‘have a body; developed by Western psychiatrists, trauma experts and yoga teachers working with communities affected by PTSD. Its principles can be overlaid onto any kind of yogic (mindful, embodied) practice.

  • A meditative technique incorporating open, compassionate and non-judgemental noticing of what is in our field of awareness at any given moment, pioneered within Yoga, Buddhism and Daoism.

  • A solely floor based practice that, rather than working or exercising the muscles, invites softening them in order to target energetic release within the deeper, tougher connective tissues – the fascia, ligaments and tendons. Developed in the West over the last half a century, though based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Daoist practice from China.

  • A gentle, floor-based style of practice that emphasises physical and mental relaxation through passive stretching and supported poses. It uses physical supports like blankets, bolsters, cushions and blocks to fully support the body, allowing for a sense of being ‘held’. The practice is designed to calm the nervous system, slow down the heart rate and and access deeper release.

  • Yoga Nidra (‘yogic sleep’) is a guided progressive relaxation practice done lying down that has its roots in ancient Tantric practice but since the mid-20th century has been augmented with Western developed relaxation and psychotherapeutic techniques to support better sleep, better cognitive function or other intentions including pain management, traumatic memory release or creativity and learning. It also incorporates elements similar to a body scan and sometimes visualisation.

  • Level 1 certification under leading trauma expert Dr Janina Fischer, creator of Trauma-informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) & world leader in integrating mindfulness-based & somatic interventions into trauma treatment.

TESTIMONIALS

  • “Charlotte created a really thoughtful daily practice for me that worked in subtle and intriguing ways. I learned how to be more gentle with myself. I ended up keeping a diary because little lessons bubbled up every day. I found the program well-structured and paced. I'm still practicing almost daily. I never imagined being a self-guided practitioner, yet here I am.”

Steli Efti, CEO, close.com, US. Still practicing, 4 years later.

  • "I feel very connected to my body. I feel like a whole, not two separate parts. I feel like my body is being heard - there is a special space for my soul to breathe. There is a level of control over my emotions, I don’t feel like I get carried away by them now. I have an anchor, a tether that can always put me back in control and back in a calmer, more stable and safe place. I know what to build on to keep and develop that warm sense of stability. I absolutely trust and love my practice. And I liked that during our check-in calls I could talk about what I wanted and it never felt rushed - Charlotte never cut me off or stopped me because of time (I hated that in talking therapy!)"

    Sophie, Documentary Producer, London.

  • “Day by day I felt more confident and could hardly wait for the next practice. I only expected physical effects but with each new lesson, I also felt mentally changed, more open, more curious. After 2 weeks, I was able to sleep through the night almost regularly and I feel more balanced and mentally stable today. I am looking forward to deepening my practice."

    Gaby, Retired Professional Sportswoman, Germany

  • "My concentration has improved and my view goes a little more straight into the world. Charlotte responded very clearly to my concerns and goals. Also to the capabilities of my body. There was always the lovely phrase ... Your choice" - an implicit invitation to always think about your own abilities. I had no idea beforehand how good such bodywork could be.”

    Veit, Psychotherapist, Germany.

  • "I had the feeling that Charlotte knew exactly what I needed. Better than I perhaps knew myself. I was able to learn to listen better to what my body was telling me. I became more self-confident and calmer. Everything worked out very well for me and I am glad that I experienced the practice and that the concept is such that I can continue on my own".

    Johanna, Trainee Midwife, Germany.

  • “Charlotte has accompanied me for a long time and gently guided me to my own individual practice. Both on retreats and in one-to-one sessions, Charlotte always managed to meet me exactly where I was at.”
